Description

Bright Lights Theatre Summer Camps are a week-long process of producing a 45-minute original musical. In just one week, students will audition, be cast, rehearse, and perform this musical for family and friends. They will also assist in the technical elements of the show, creating props and portions of the set and designing their own costumes. They will make new friends and learn how this show points us back to God's big story in the bible!  In this year's summer camp show, "A Trip to the Wacky Woods," we will see how true joy isn't reliant on or determined by our circumstances. Through the adventures of some adorable woodland creatures, campers, and scouts, the students will learn that true joy can only come from the one thing that never changes: God.

At camp each student will receive:

  • A camp t-shirt

  • Craft supplies (to help create their costumes, props, and set)

  • A pizza lunch on Friday

  • Snacks each day

  • A fun experience learning theatrical skills and Bible stories

PLEASE NOTE
JR. CAMP: This summer camp is open to PreK-8th-grade students. It is the perfect first step for new students who are interested in theatre AND younger students hoping to hone their skills.  At camp, everyone gets the chance to shine if they desire it. PreK-Kinder students are a part of our Jr. Camp (9am-12pm each day). 1st-8th grade students participate in the full-day camp from 9 am-3:30 pm each day. Everyone (PreK-8th) will participate in the performance on Friday at 2 pm, which is free for family and friends.  Jr. Camp is only available at sessions 2 and 4 this summer.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Any Camp Scholarship Applications are due BEFORE camp registration opens. This way, we can fairly assess the needs and award scholarships, still allowing all families the same first-come, first-serve access to registration. Please apply BEFORE February 1st.
