"Sound of Music" Registration

The final collaboration between Rodgers & Hammerstein was destined to become the world’s most beloved musical. Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning five Tony Awards and five Oscars. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows an ebullient postulate who serves as governess to the seven children of the imperious Captain von Trapp, bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire von Trapp family must make a moral decision.

CASTING DETAILS: In person, 10-minute audition time slots available on August 16th from 9 am-4 pm. Parent Meeting for new families will be held from 5:30-6:30 pm on August 21st. Callbacks will be held August 23rd from 9 am-2 pm. All held at Redeemer Bible Church. 

TECH STUDENTS: Tech crew does not need to audition and will only be required to attend rehearsals starting with the Full Runs at Redeemer Bible Church. 

PLEASE NOTE: 
All tech and dress rehearsals and performances are mandatory for cast and crew.  It is vital for every student to be present any time they are called to rehearsal. If your student has a conflict with any one of these dates, we suggest that you consider registering for a different show instead. If your student has their heart set on Sound of Music and they choose to proceed, please know that any conflicts in this timeframe will significantly impact the roles for which they are considered in the casting process.
