Description

This exciting, new musical version of Charlotte's Web brings a new dimension to E.B. White's beloved classic. With music and lyrics by Charles Strouse (Annie'Bye, 'Bye Birdie) and book by Joseph Robinette (national award-winning children's playwright) your audiences will thrill to a musical score which includes "Eating," Wilbur the pig's humorous yet poignant song about growing up; "Who Says We Can't Be Friends," an enchanting duet between Wilbur and his new-found companion Charlotte; "Welcome to the Zuckerman Barn," featuring all the story's unforgettable animals in a hand-clapping, toe-tapping hoe-down; and "Summer," a haunting, nostalgic chorus number which evokes a time and place from everyone's childhood. This joyous musical offers your audiences a very special experience.

CASTING DETAILS: Auditions will be held via video submissions that are due by email from May 4th-10th. Callbacks will be held in person on May 17th from 9 am-12 pm. Students will leave callbacks with a script in hand and the show will be cast by May 19th, so they with have a month to memorize their lines and listen to the songs before we jump into the rehearsal schedule in July.  Students will still be able to register for Charlotte's Web through June 15th, but any one who registers after the callback date (May 17th) will automatically be cast in the ensemble.

Once you have registered, you will receive an email with more details and a video that all parents will be required to watch prior to auditions.

PLEASE NOTE
All rehearsals and performances are mandatory for cast and crew.  We only have two weeks to put an entire musical production together, so it is vital for every student to be present any time they are called to rehearsal. If your student has a conflict with any one of these dates, we suggest that you consider registering for a different show or summer camp instead. If your student has their heart set on Charlotte's Web and they choose to proceed, please know that any conflicts in this timeframe will significantly impact the roles for which they are considered in the casting process.
